BBC detective comedy heads to Hayfield Chase for second series

Hayfield Homes is delighted that Producers of popular BBC detective comedy, Shakespeare and Hathaway, have chosen one of its new homes at Hayfield Chase in the village of Tiddington as the backdrop for a second season storyline.

The cast and crew convened at The Gloucester, a distinctly designed 4-bedroomed family home, for the scene, filming inside in the generous open-plan kitchen/dining/family room that runs the whole length of the house and opens into the pretty landscaped garden.

The series sees Frank Hathaway (Mark Benton), a hardboiled investigator, and his rookie sidekick Lu Shakespeare (Jo Joyner) form the unlikeliest of partnerships as they investigate the secrets of rural Warwickshire’s residents. Met with widespread critical acclaim after a hugely successful launch earlier this year, a second season of Shakespeare and Hathaway is currently in the making and due to be aired next year.

Harriet Dickson, Sales and Marketing Manager, commented, “We were thrilled to hear the BBC had chosen to film at Hayfield Chase and know residents were excited to get a sneak preview of the new season. Hayfield Chase was our very first development so an important milestone for us, and it’s lovely that its being featured on television in this way.

“All of the houses have sold, but we have two beautiful one bedroom apartments still available, priced from £200,000. I would urge anyone interested to get in touch quickly if they’re interested in making this wonderful development their home.”

Hayfield Chase is located on Main Street, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire, CV37 7AY. For more information about the two remaining apartments at Hayfield Chase, please contact 0845 051 0137 or email
