Hayfield has recruited Richard Bagnall as Human Resources Manager to strengthen its people development and resourcing capacity. The Solihull-headquartered housebuilder now employs over 150 people and is gearing up to deliver 500 homes per annum across middle England.
Richard Bagnall was previously the HR Business Partner at Rapid Response Medical Service Ltd, where he provided a full HR advisory service. Prior to that he was the HR Business Partner for Arconic Manufacturing (GB) Limited, where he worked for six years. With a passion for talent attraction and development, Richard has over 10 years’ human resources expertise, including employee relations, employee engagement, and reward and recognition. He has a keen interest in employee wellbeing and is a trained Mental Health First Aider.
Sara Hope, Head of Human Resources for Hayfield, said: “Hayfield has expanded at a rapid pace this year and bringing Richard on board as an HR Manager is a reflection of this. Our people are at the heart of all we do, and we are very pleased to be enhancing our wellbeing programme as we continue to grow, while also strengthening our in-house resourcing and employee development capabilities. As we go from strength to strength it is important that our people feel valued, supported and continue to grow and develop. Richard’s expertise complements the existing HR team and provides additional depth and breadth to enable our continued focus on being an employer of choice where the wellbeing of our people is our priority.
“There are currently two Hayfield offices and nine live development sites located across a wide area of middle England. Maintaining our culture, openness, and commitment to delivering exceptional quality new homes naturally requires additional HR resources as we recruit more and more skilled people.”
Hayfield’s wellbeing programme recently made the shortlist for the Best Staff Development Award in this year’s national Housebuilder Awards. The award ceremony will take place on 10th November 2022.
Richard Bagnall, HR Manager for Hayfield commented: “I am very excited to join Hayfield and be able to help to deliver a unique wellness programme for all staff, while actively recruiting more new colleagues. Attracting, retaining, and developing all Hayfield’s people, based on construction sites, and in the office locations, will be key to this new role and the continued growth of the business. The variety of work really appeals to me.”
Hayfield currently has around 400 homes under construction across the counties of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire. The multi-award-winning company also has a number of sites that are either newly acquired, or in solicitors’ hands, which are set to deliver a further 400 executive family homes in prime semi-rural and edge of town settings.
