Hayfield Homes secures site in Southmoor
Hayfield Homes has secured a site to build new homes off the Faringdon Road in Southmoor, Oxfordshire. The land, at the rear of Fallowfields Hotel, has outline planning permission for 43 homes.
Mark Booth, Managing Director of Hayfield Homes comments, “Securing the land at the rear of the Fallowfields Hotel is another milestone in the growth of Hayfield Homes. The site already has outline planning permission for a selection of two to five bedroom semi-detached and detached homes, including 17 affordable properties. We have now submitted a reserved matters planning application and will work closely with the local council to finalise the design.”
The site comprises 3.37 hectares of land to the south and east of Fallowfields Hotel. As part of the development, Hayfield will create a new access for the development from Faringdon Road, together with the provision of large areas of open space and landscaping. The development shall draw on a range of materials found within the village and utilise local detailing to reflect the vernacular of the area.
Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor is one of the larger villages within the Vale of White Horse District. The village has a range of community facilities, shops, a primary school and a regular public transport services to the larger towns of Oxford, Swindon, Faringdon and Abingdon. Southmoor is approximately seven miles west of Abingdon-on-Thames and 12 miles south-west of Oxford.
