Autumn Budget 2021 Reaction from Hayfield

With soaring energy price rises affecting us all, we need to lessen our reliance on fossil fuels. “We are enthused by the proposal to digitise England’s planning system. We also support the Chancellor’s £1.8bn brownfield housing fund, and greater investment into regional transport infrastructure. “The newly announced Green Investment Relief is good news for businesses. Aligned to this, we would welcome further implementation of the Green Homes Grant, enabling existing homes to be retrofitted with the type of technology Hayfield installs as standard. This year – more than ever – our customers are reaping the benefits of Air Source Heat Pumps, Electric Vehicle Charging Points, enhanced insulation, and energy-efficient underfloor heating.

“Despite the end of the Stamp Duty holiday, the introduction of the new more restrictive Help to Buy scheme, inflationary pressures, and general economic uncertainty, the demand for our multi award-winning homes is as high as it has ever been. The Covid-19 pandemic has seen everyone spend more time at home than ever before.
