Hayfield Goes Viral to Become the Top UK Housebuilder on TikTok

October 14, 2021

Hayfield has secured the biggest industry following on the social media platform TikTok. The five-star housebuilder has 23,000 followers, which is 7,000 more than any other UK housebuilder.

Hayfield also has more than 35,000 followers on Instagram, with its top performing reel attracting close to two million views. This places the Solihull-headquartered company seventh in the roster of UK housebuilders on Instagram.

Kelly Sharman, Sales and Marketing Director at Hayfield said: “Social media is incredibly important to the housebuilding industry. For Hayfield, it enables us to see how our new houses are transformed into lived-in homes, adding substance and personality to our customer relationships. Platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and Facebook also enable us to inspire future Hayfield customers, communicate our brand values and news.

“Instagram is a platform that we have been on for over four years, with over 1,000 posts, reels and stories shared during that time. Meanwhile, we joined the TikTok bandwagon in July and are reaping the success of having a high proportion of our videos go viral. The relevance of our content is all down to the quality of our show homes, the creativity of our in-house marketing team, and our social media consultant’s expertise. For me, it’s heart-warming that the explosive growth of our social media accounts is something the whole Hayfield team is really proud of.”

Hayfield has posted 40 TikToks since joining the platform earlier this year, with its top performing short video attracting close to 900,000 views. The @HayfieldHomes account has already accrued over 130,000 likes.

Ranjit Kang, Head of Marketing for Hayfield said: “While Instagram and Tiktok are very different social platforms to interact with, the content that has gone viral for us has been incredibly similar. Both Hayfield Gate in Bedfordshire and Hayfield Wood in Wiltshire have stunning critall-effect interior walls and doors. Our short reels showcasing this transformative feature have been hugely popular, organically generating thousands of new followers. Other video content that has outperformed our expectations features open-plan living, kitchen, living room, bedroom and décor inspiration.”

Hayfield’s turnover for 2021 will be in the region of £100 million, with close to 300 luxury homes delivered across middle England. The company’s live development portfolio comprises Hayfield Green in West Oxfordshire; Hayfield Place and Hayfield Gate, which are both within Central Bedfordshire; Hayfield Avenue in Cambridgeshire; Hayfield Wood in Wiltshire; and Hayfield Oaks and Hayfield Walk, which are both in Buckinghamshire. Work will shortly start on site at two more schemes within Bedfordshire.

Hayfield is proactively installing Air Source Heat Pumps, underfloor heating, the smartest electric vehicle fast-charging points available, and ultra-fast broadband into all new and upcoming developments in line with its strong ESG foundations. These features – alongside its current build specification – ensures all new Hayfield homes will exceed the 2022 Future Homes Standard by 100%.
