The Hatton at Hayfield Place in the Bedfordshire village of Silsoe has won the Best Family Home category at the 2021 First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards. Five-star housebuilder Hayfield’s popular design – which has three double bedrooms and an integral garage – was a favourite with the voting public and the judging panel.
Now in its 12th year, the prestigious national awards event was held at the London Marriott Hotel at Grosvenor Square. The First Time Buyers Readers’ Awards reward the achievements of the first time buyer market, and celebrate those that have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help aspiring homeowners onto the property ladder. Television property duo Jonnie Irwin and Nicki Chapman hosted this year’s event and crowned the winners.
The award win coincides with the imminent completion of five new Hatton homes, four of which have already been sold off-plan. Situated on the beautifully landscaped Leigh Woods Place in a cul-de-sac location, each home features 1,185 sq ft of luxury living space. The last remaining Hatton at Hayfield Place is priced at £435,000.
Kelly Sharman, Sales and Marketing Director for Hayfield said: “We are thrilled to be the winner of the First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards Best Family Home! We are so thankful to all those that voted. The beauty of the Hatton design is how it provides plenty of living space to grow into in future years without needing to move. The integral garage also offers additional flexibility for storing bikes and cars, doing DIY, or even creating a gym at home.
“This home design is popular with those already living in Central Bedfordshire, and several Hattons at Hayfield Place have been snapped up by people relocating out of London. We would encourage all those who are looking to move onto or up the property ladder to make an appointment to visit this stunning development and take a look around for themselves.”
Lynda Clark, CEO of First Time Buyer, says: “The First Time Buyer Readers' Awards are such a highlight of our year and we were so happy to be back again. It was such an honour to be able to celebrate, in person, the efforts of the individuals and companies dedicated to supporting first time buyers throughout their journey onto the housing ladder. Homeownership has never been so important to so many and therefore it is essential that we recognise the hard work undertaken by the industry to help make it possible.
“This year we have seen some really superb entries, and while all of the shortlisted companies have demonstrated exceptional work, the winners this year have clearly impressed both our judges and readers.”
Interior features of a Hatton home include the well-proportioned kitchen/diner, which has a range of Bosch appliances. There is a sitting room across the rear of the property with double doors leading onto the private garden. Heritage bronze ironmongery and Farrow & Ball paint accompany you as you make your way to the first floor, where the three large bedrooms are found, along with a family bathroom and en-suite to the principal bedroom that both feature contemporary ROCA suites.
Hayfield Place features a total of 105 luxury family homes and bungalows. The scheme is located at High Street, Silsoe, Bedfordshire, MK45 4QF. The show home is open seven days a week from 10am – 5pm. More information on the Hatton and Hayfield Place is available here: https://www.hayfieldhomes.co.uk/development/hayfield-place
